The Power of a Mother’s Belief & Commitment

Yesterday Jon Morrow, Associate Editor at Copyblogger, shared the inspiring story of his mother’s belief in his ability to live and thrive in spite of a doctor’s diagnosis of a neuromuscular disorder at the age of one. And on top of that, a heart-wrenching prognosis of him not living beyond the age of two. He’s now 27, and along with the challenges of living with his disability, he is also fully engaged in living his life.

I recommend you click on the link and read his story. Jon’s mother’s choices underscore the power of love, belief, and commitment – what a reminder that we are in the position to choose our own beliefs, and push beyond the limitations of other people’s beliefs.

Well, I am really impressed how Jon Morrow’s mom is determined and fought all along. And I am so happy Jon is doing what can make his mom proud!

Even if I am not disabled, I faced alot of social problems while growing up and the problems still persist in some form or another. So I am always on the verge of giving up! I just read about Jon Morrow and I am really inspired and feel I have to keep fighting!

God Bless u Jon Morrow and I wish u all the best!

Hi Saida, it’s great that Jon’s experience inspires you so much. He – and his mom – really show us what’s possible when we keep our focus on what’s most important to us. Bless you, and I hope one day to read your story that will inspire others, just like Jon.
