Creativity and What’s Possible

IceNineJon_airborne_carSeveral student vision boards are hanging in my home office. Many of the components of these children’s visions re-ignite my excitement for the unknown and for what’s possible every time I look at them.

One young man’s vision includes the affirmations “I am a scientist and I am making a flying car” and “I am inventing a potion that cures any illness.”

Now, depending on your point of view, you may discount the more fantastic ideas that young people have as just clever, cute or nonsense.

Or, like me, you may believe that all things are possible, and become inspired and hopeful that these young visionaries could very well bring solutions to many of our world’s biggest challenges.

Historically the most fantastic and life-altering breakthroughs have come from people that believed in what seemed inconceivable to others.

I challenge you to embrace what seems impossible and recognize the gifts and possibilities inherent in your own creativity and the creativity of our youth.

What “impossible” creative ideas bring you hope and inspiration?
